This critical corner will be redeveloped with a mid- to high-rise concept that mixes office, grocery, retail and residential living. The property’s prior zoning encouraged suburban corner retail with large setbacks and restricted height.
In 2015, the team, led by Lazarus, Silvyn & Bangs, took the first step in the entitlement process to bring the owner’s vision to reality.
The University Area Plan was amended to provide relief from older policies and to permit a rezoning for the higher densities and heights. In 2018, the Firm assisted the owner and project team to achieve a successful and unanimous rezoning to Planned Area Development that will help bring this great project to fruition.
