Under the visionary leadership of Keri Silvyn, Chair of the Tucson Airport Authority (TAA), the Tucson International Airport and the Arizona Air National Guard (AANG) proudly announce the completion of the largest F-16 Arm/De-Arm Pad in the nation.
This significant achievement, part of the $400 million TUS Airfield Safety Enhancement Program, highlights the collaborative efforts between TAA and AANG’s 162nd Fighter Wing to modernize and enhance airfield safety standards.
Alongside this milestone, the completion of the End Around Taxiway and the Barrier Arresting Kit (BAK) on Runway 4-22 further underscores the commitment to ensuring the highest levels of safety and operational efficiency for military aircraft.
